Valdosta -- The City of Valdosta honored its football champions Saturday, holding a parade for the national champion Valdosta State Blazers, and the state champion Lowndes Vikings.
VSU won its second Division II national championship, beating Northwest Missouri State 25-20 a little more than a month ago.
Lowndes high school has five state titles, the most recent a 34-6 stomping of North Gwinnett.
It's the third title in the last four years for the Vikings.
Both teams won their championships December 15th, and celebrated together with a parade in Valdosta.
Lowndes and VSU finished the season 14-1 and 13-1, respectively.
