Worth County -- "I never had an inkling he would do something like this," said Greg Snyder. He is referring to his neighbor, 27-year-old Jacob White.

It was here at this Worth County mobile home where investigators say he murdered his wife, 54-year-old Linda White sometime this week before stuffing her body inside a freezer.

"The family members went to house to work on the freezer and found the body inside. At that time, they left the home and contacted law enforcement," said GBI Asst. Special Agent in Charge Mark Pro.

Worth County Deputies were called out to the home on 108 Jog Road around 6:00 Friday afternoon. It was here where GBI agents worked into the night gathering evidence to piece together the crime. But according to neighbors, Jacob White and his wife, who was 28 years his senior, had been going through problems.

"From what we were told she had left. She had just up and took off and told Jacob that she was through and didn't want anything to do with him. And you know, we get the phone call that she had been found in the house," said Snyder whose wife babysat the couple's adopted child.

Investigators say that Jacob White was inside the home when deputies arrived. He was taken to the Worth County Jail Friday evening where he was interviewed about his wife's death.

"Early this morning, after the interview with GBI agents, they obtained enough information from him to secure arrests warrants for the murder Mrs. White," said Pro.

Deputies had been called out to the White's home last Monday for a domestic problem, but no arrests were made. Investigators believe she was murdered sometime between Tuesday and Friday afternoon.

While investigators look into the motive behind the crime, White will remain in the Worth County Jail charged with felony murder.

White's body has been transported to the crime lab in Atlanta for an autopsy.
