Albany - With their top two receivers, Chavis McCollister and James Robinson, now playing for Kansas City in the Arena Football League, the South Georgia Wildcats were looking for a game breaker at wide receiver for the 2008 AF2 season.
Head coach Derek Stingley caught perhaps one of the top receivers on the market.
The South Georgia Wildcats announced Thursday they have been assigned receiver Buchie Ibeh.
Ibeh played last year for Wilkes-Barre Scranton where he caught 77 passes and 20 went for touchdowns.
Wildcats fans saw Ibeh's talent first hand.
Last year against the Wildcats, Ibeh caught three touchdowns in the Pioneers win over South Georgia and had 12 receptions for the game.
Besides talent, general manager Darren McPhail says Buchie Ibeh knows how to win championships.
Ibeh played for the AFL champion Chicago Rush two years ago and last year
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton won the American Conference title and played in the AF2 Arena Cup championship game.
The Wildcats open the 2008 AF2 season on March 29th at Tennessee Valley.
