Tifton  -- Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol say 36-year-old Melissa Robinson remains hospitalized at Tift Regional Medical Center with head and internal injuries.

They say she was attempting to cross Highway 41 in Tift County when she stepped in front of a 2001 Chevy Silverado.

The driver, 40-year-old Philip Moody was not injured. Troopers say no charges will be filed.
