Sylvester -- Many of you have responded to a story we brought you about an Albany family in desperate need.

The Watson family lost their home and all of their belongings last Thursday morning in a fire.

The Red Cross put them up in a motel for a few nights. Then Radium Springs Baptist Church paid for the family of four to stay two additional nights.

Now, a Sylvester man who was also a fire victim is putting together a fundraiser.

"It burnt a lot of my tools and my storage stuff. And it really hurts when you are in the that predicament, and you lose your stuff. No one is there to help. And when you are on disability its almost impossible for you to recover," said Russell Brooks.

Brooks plans to set up a karaoke night. If you'd like to help with the fundraiser, you can contact him at 229-206-7853.
