Albany -- A big group marched across the Albany State University campus tonight, to honor Martin Luther King.

About 200 people joined the march organized by Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

King was a member of that group, and the Alpha brothers say events like this help carry on his legacy.

"We only do this on MLK day, but we need to always, year round, remember things that happened in civil rights leadership and movement to better the lives of those coming on after us," said Julius Don-Pedro, Alpha Phi Alpha's Event Planner.

After the march, there was a program that included songs and speeches.

This is the second year of the Alpha's march.

They hope it will continue to grow.
