Albany - - If you're having a hard time finding a job these days, you're not alone.
Nationwide, the unemployment rate is at its highest level in two years.
At the Albany Career Center on South Slappey, counselors have seen an increase in people coming in looking for work.
Last year, they helped 1500 people find jobs. They're already busy at the beginning of 2008.
"With the new year coming upon us things are picking up a little bit. We have employers that are announcing some positions and those employers list with the Department of Labor at no cost to the employer or to the job seeker," says Sheilah Holland.
The Albany Career Center holds workshops to offer resume writing and interviewing tips to job applicants.
