Albany - Another event is abandoning the Albany Civic Center because of those increased fees. For the third year, the Southwest Georgia Bridal Expo was going to be held at the Albany Civic Center. Organizer Angel Williams says she had no choice but to move the Expo when she found out she would be charged three times as much as last year to hold the four hour event. So it is being moved to the Hilton Garden Inn.

She said, "Because it was so high, I could not comply with them, so therefore I had to move the show to the Hilton." Williams says she also normally holds the show in the meeting room at the Civic Center, but it's currently under renovation.

The Expo is February 17th from 1-5 PM. There is no charge for admission and one lucky winner will be given a free wedding day.
