Blazers coach earns another national honor - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

 Valdosta - Valdosta State coach David Dean has been named the Division II National coach of the year in 2007 by the American Football Coaches Association.

Dean earned the honor after leading the Blazers to a 13-1 record and the school's second Division II national championship in his first season as Blazers head coach.

It is the third national coaching award picked up by David Dean.

He was named national DII coach of the year by the Touchdown Club of Atlanta and American Football Weekly last week.
