Leesburg -- In a Wednesday press release, Jeffery T. Horne announced that he will seek election for Lee County Coroner.

A long time resident of Lee County, Horne attended school in Lee County and graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta.

He has been involved in funeral service since 1988 and is a licensed Funeral Director and a licensed Embalmer. He has been employed with Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors for the past 12 years.

Horne is a member of the Georgia Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, Georgia Academy of Graduate Embalmers, Exchange Club of Albany, and attends First United Methodist Church of Albany.

He and his wife Cathy have three daughters and a grandchild.
