Valdosta - Georgia's 2007wildfire season was the worst in the history of the state and Georgia Forestry officials say the outlook for this year isn't looking any better.

Last year there were over 10,000 wildfires throughout the state burning over half a million acres.  That's more than 10 times the normal yearly average.

Foresters say that could be the tip of the iceberg.

They say with the state's drought and dry conditions, they are expecting 2008 to be just as bad if not worse.

They are asking everyone to monitor all outdoor burning year round.
