Albany - Downtown Albany has another new restaurant. The Flint River Café opened on North Washington Street this week. Located in the old Hubbles building, the restaurant serves specialty sandwiches and salad. So far, owner Donna Miller says business is great.
She said, "The lunch has actually been pretty good despite that we are doing just a quiet opening. A lot of word of mouth has already gotten out. We're getting people to come in and try it. Folks are telling us how wonderful the food is."
Customer Shanna Scott said, "It's very good and I'm excited we have another great lunch place to come to in Albany." Flint River café is only open for lunch right now, but starting next week,a breakfast buffet will be served Monday through Friday.
