Albany-  We first told you Monday about bogus $100.00 bills being used in Tifton to buy electronics, Tuesday police say they believe those bills are originating in Albany.

In December, someone passed several of the bogus $100.00 bills at the Sugar Shack and Dollar Store inside the Albany Mall. Albany Police say the serial numbers on those bills were the same as five of the bills passed at Wal-mart in Tifton.

The phony bills have also been used to pay for items in Colquitt County. Anyone with information on the crime is urged to call Albany or Tifton Police.
