Albany - - Winter weather often brings coughing and sneezing.

In most cases, it's just the common cold, but don't forget we are still in flu season.

Patients often contract the virus in places where a lot of people gather and share things. You could even get the flu from using a computer that an infected person used before you.

Medical workers say the best advice is to wash your hands frequently.

"If you sneeze and use my mouse and then I use my mouse then I've got that on my hands. It's very important that you play particular attention to hand washing," says Beth Conners, RN.

We're just entering the peak season for the flu.

It's not too late to get a flu shot and there is plenty of vaccine this year.
