Albany - If you want to vote in the upcoming Presidential Primary, you have to be registered by Monday. The King Day 2008 committee is holding two voter registration drives Saturday at both K-Mart and The Albany Mall.

The goal is to get more people to the polls in this important election. Calandra Jefferson said, "We need to remind people that a part of Dr. King's message was universal equality, and one place that we are all equal is inside the voter's booth.  We do have the responsibility of being registered voters, being informed voters, and then the responsibility to get up and go out and actually make that vote."

The primary is February 5th. You'll also need a voter ID . If you don't already have one, you can contact the elections office to have a free ID made.
