Albany -- An event at Albany's Civic Center that was popular in the past has been canceled for this year.
For the past two years, The PBR Albany Invitational drew big crowds of professional bull riding fans.
This year, advanced ticket sales were so low that event producers called off the competition scheduled for January 11th and 12th.
"Normal tickets sales in our area normally do a push in the last 10 days. As this producer started to look at the economic impact of the expenses laid out already - and the return of the investments with ticket sales moving as slowly as they had - he decided with PBR that it was in the best interest of the show to actually postpone the date," said Albany Civic Center Director John Mazzola.
PBR and Civic Center officials hope to try again next year.
If you bought tickets you can get a refund at the box office where you purchased the tickets or use the tickets in 2009.
If you have other questions you can call the Civic Center at 430-5200.
