Two new eagles eggs at South GA park

Posted: Updated:

Adel - Reed Bingham State Park received two special holiday gifts.

One of their bald eagles laid two eggs on Christmas day.

That nest is the only active eagles nest on a Georgia State Park.

The area around the nest has been closed to the public to assure the eagles don't leave and the babies are healthy.

When they hatch this spring, they'll bring the eagle population at the park up to eight.
