Moultrie Police investigate homicide

January 1, 2008

Moultrie-  Moultrie Police have little to go on after a 21 year old man was found in front of a local grocery store, bleeding from a gun shot wound.

Moultrie Police were called to the Emergency Room at Colquitt Regional Hospital around 8:45 last night after 21 year old Jakira Strong was brought in with a gunshot wound to the head. Police say Curtis Albridge, a Motes Grocery employee, found Strong on the sidewalk in front of the store in the 400 block of Third Avenue Northwest then rushed him to the hospital in his personal car.

Strong later died. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call Moultrie Police.
