Super Bowl MVP honors his heroes Sunday

December 28, 2007

Albany - Former Monroe star Deion Branch has never forgotten the high school coaches who helped pave the way for his NFL career, two Super Bowl rings and of course a Super Bowl MVP award.

On Sunday, Deion Branch will honor three of his former coaches when his Seattle Seahawks play the Atlanta Falcons in the Georgia Dome.

Former Monroe coaches William Chunn and Vernorris Bradley and current Tornado assisant Coleman Camp will be Deion's guests on Sunday.

In addition to tickets to the game, Chunn, Bradley and Camp will get to talk with Deion on the sidelines before the game.

Deion from time to time calls his former coaches before the game and Vernorris Bradley is looking forward to talking face to face to a young man who has never forgotten his roots in Albany.

Vernorris Bradley said "He has just always called to check and see how everybody is doing. Ask what can he do? He has always been a very giving person."

Deion Branch's heroes welcome to Vernorris Bradley, William Chunn and Coleman Camp is made possible by the Seahawks' Symetra Heroes in the Classroom program honoring educators in the Seattle, Washington area and throughout the nation.
