Albany - The month of January starts next week and it is hard to believe the Albany State women's basketball team still has not played a home game.
That will change Friday when the 1-5 Lady Rams host the annual Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference-Southern States Conference challenge.
Albany State and Fort Valley State represent the SIAC against SSC powers Florida Tech and Rollins.
Florida Tech is nationally ranked in the Division II polls and Rollins is receiving votes.
It will be a tough challenge for the Lady Rams but they are just glad is their year to host this event.

The SIAC-SSC challenge starts Friday with Fort Valley State playing Rollins at 4:00 p.m.
