Motorcycle club rides for good cause

December 26, 2007

Terrell County -- A group of local bikers came together on Sunday for a charity motorcycle run to collect donations for the family of a Shellman woman who was killed two weeks ago at an Albany fast food restaurant.

The Heaven's Saints Motorcycle Ministries, along with several local motorcycle ministries in the area, collected toys and donations for the family and children of Roseanne Eubanks and her twin sister Rebecca Todd.

The bikers began their run in Albany and continued on to Terrell Christian Academy, where they delivered some Christmas cheer to a family who experienced tragedy so close to the holidays.

"When you bring something like this together, all you gotta do is get the word out to these guys and they just show up from all over the place," said Ray Segrest with the Heaven's Saints Motorcycle Ministries.

Prayer minister Robert Tripps said, "We've been reaching out to some families in need and when we heard about that this family here, it was an opportunity for us show up and show the love of Jesus Christ."

About a dozen bikers participated in Sunday's charity run.

Each year Heaven's Saints sponsors a family in need at Christmas time.
