Albany -- The 50th annual Good Life City Classic got underway Friday night, with twelve teams each playing two games over two days.
Dougherty beat Manchester 75-65 at Westover, and the host Patriots topped Swainsboro 74-64.
Monroe fell to M.L. King 71-66 at Albany High School.
In the third annual Randall Godfrey Christmas Classic at Lowndes high school, the Vikings boys beat Pelham 60-38.
The Valdosta boys beat Atkinson County 65-42, and will play in the championship game against Madison Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
The Lady Wildcats fall 50-33 against McEachern, while the Lowndes girls defeat Pebblebrook 38-24.
The Randolph-Clay boys beat Terrell County 74-55 in Cuthbert, giving Red Devils head coach Joe Williams 999 career wins.
Williams and Randolph-Clay will look for win number 1,000 Saturday night at Wilkinson County.
