Albany - - Law enforcers are stepping up security at Albany's mall for all you last minute shoppers.

Albany Police are providing officers to help mall security patrol area. As you make your final shopping rounds, mall officials want you to feel safe.

They have a full-time security team on the premises who keep a close eye on all activity.

"It is definitely secure here. We have 24 hour security here, 365 a year. We have parking lot patrol as well as security and were also being assisted by the Albany Police Department," says security director Avis Jones.

If you have a lot of shopping bags on you and don't feel comfortable walking to your car alone, security officers will escort you to your vehicle.

Officers stress you need to be observant when you shop during the holidays and park in well-lit areas.
