Albany -- The Albany Recreation and Parks department set out to make sure the mature set is included in Yuletide revelry.
People 50 and over were invited to the annual Christmas with Grandparents Day at the Lockett Station Community Center. It was a day of fun, food, and entertainment, and proved you're never to old for a visit from Santa.
Christmas we think a lot of time, Christmas is about the kids, but what about the seniors? Christmas is a time because if it wasn't for them we wouldn't be here. It's a time for fun," said Albany Recreation and Parks Supervisor Tee Taylor.
Everyone who attended the program left with a valuable lesson in holiday safety from the Albany Police. Seniors also got a Christmas gift.
