Albany -- An Albany police patrol car crashed Thursday night and the person who caused the wreck is on the loose.
37-year-old officer Rico Potts was heading South on South Slappey Boulevard around 7:30 PM when a black vehicle made an improper left turn in front of him.
Potts swerved and ended up crashing into a utility pole.
He was transported to Phoebe Putney where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
Potts has been on the Albany Police force for two years.
