Albany -- Some South Georgia children got a holiday treat Wednesday night. American Legion Post 512 hosted their annual Christmas celebration.

They invited children from all over the area for the party. The kids and their parents got a hot meal and presents from the big man himself.

"This has been going on for six or seven years. It's an on going thing for the Legion. And primarily what we try to do here is give a little Christmas cheer to the children. That is what we are here for. God put us here and we are giving back," said Santa.

The children got to burn off some of their energy on the dance floor. Santa Claus even "walked it out".
