Bainbridge -- Head coach Ricky Woods is leaving the Bainbridge football team after one year with the school.

The coach is heading back to Mississippi, Monday being named head coach at Northwest Mississippi Community College.

Woods made his mark at the high school level in Mississippi, winning six state titles.

The coach led South Panola to four championships in-a-row before coming to Bainbridge, at one point winning 60-straight games.

Woods guided the Bearcats to the state quarterfinals in his only season with the team, after Bainbridge had not made it out of the first round in three years.

NMCC is a two-year school, located just down the road from South Panola.

Bainbridge finished 9-4 last season, and second in the region.
