Valdosta -- Lowndes won its third state championship in the last four seasons, as the Vikings beat North Gwinnett 34-6 in the AAAAA title game Saturday night.
Greg Reid and Darriett Perry each scored two touchdowns, highlighted by a 91-yard scamper by Reid in the first half.
Reid led Lowndes with 184 yards on 14 carries, while Perry added 100 yards on 15 carries.
Tavaris Williams returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown in the fourth.
The state championship in the fifth in school history for the Vikings.
