Albany - Thanks to your generosity, 500 less fortunate families will have Christmas gifts this year. Marines from the Albany base are busy sorting through thousands of toys that were donated during this year's Toys for Tots drive.
Friday, they separated the toys by age group and got them ready for about 500 families to pick up tomorrow. Maj. Chris Morton said, "It makes us very appreciative for what the community has done to allow us to be able to do this to begin with and across the board, it makes everybody here feel good about what it is that we're doing this time of year."
Marines will distribute toys to the families selected for the program all day Saturday.
