Thomasville-- Thomas County Sheriff's investigators arrested a man they say plotted to have a romantic rival killed.   Investigators say they learned 18-year old Jason Whiddon was planning to hire someone to kill his wife's former boyfriend, a man in his mid 20's.

Investigators were preparing to use an undercover agent posing as a hit man. "That was our plan. To introduce the agent and do the contract with him. But prior to that happening we were able to arrest him, we didn't have to go that far," explains Captain John Richards with the Thomas County Sheriff's Office.

Whiddon is charged with criminal solicitation to commit murder, that's a felony.
