Xianghe, China -- Chinese officials are saying that strict regulations have been imposed on the country's toy manufacturers to ensure their products are safe for Christmas shoppers.
The head of the governmental unit that supervises production said that toy manufacturers have been put under "very serious supervision and surveillance."
China announced on Tuesday that its global trade surplus totaled over 26 billion dollars in November. That showed a strong foreign demand for low-cost Chinese goods despite product recalls and warnings.
Albany Police have responded to a robbery by snatching at the National Package Store on Oakridge Drive. Dispatch has confirmed the call came in just before 8 p.m. Saturday, and the suspect fled the scene.More >>
