Will your vote count?

December 10, 2007

Albany - In less than two months, you'll head to the voting booth for the Presidential primary, but how do you know your vote is really being counted?

This week, workers are testing electronic voting machines in Dougherty County. The 130 machines are put through a quick test to determine if they properly load ballots and record responses. "We load the election on the big server, we make memory cards to put in each machine and each one is tested," said Elections Supervisor Carolyn Hatcher.  "You're getting the right election and it's going to work correctly."

The tests are required by the state. Georgia's Presidential Primary takes place on February 5th.
