Valdosta -- A murder suspect wanted by authorities in Florida is in the Lowndes County Jail, two days after he fled from police.
U.S. Marshals assisted by Lowndes County sheriff's deputies arrested 24-year-old Timothy Blackwelder at a rest stop in Valdosta. He was wanted for the Friday shooting death of a Tampa man in which police say the victim's wife was taken from the scene by Blackwelder.
A phone call made from a rest stop pay phone lead police to the location. Blackwelder is expected to be arraigned Monday.
