Atlanta -- After ten games in two days in Atlanta, four South Georgia teams will be playing in a GHSA state championship game.
Cairo and Lowndes join Ware County and Wilcox County with wins on Saturday, while Cook falls to Lovett.
The Syrupmakers erupt for 35 points on just twelve plays in the third quarter, and turn a 21-14 deficit into a 42-21 blowout against North Hall.
Lowndes scored a touchdown down on a halfback pass from Gerald Demps to Greg Reid in the second quarter, and added a field goal late to beat Camden County 10-0.
The Vikings play North Gwinnett in the AAAAA state title game next Saturday.
Ware County hosts Northside, Warner Robins in the AAAA championship Friday.
The Syrupmakers look to win their first state title in 17 years, as they host Carver Columbus in the AAA title match Saturday at 3pm in Cairo.
Lovett and Buford will play at the AA level, after the Lions ended Cook's Cinderella run with a 29-17 defeat in the Dome Saturday.
Wilcox County will play for the state championship for the first time in school history, as they host Emmanuel County Institute Saturday night.
