Teens arrested for armed robbery

December 5, 2007

Meigs-- Eighteen-year-old Larry Davis, 17-year-old Patrick Johnson, 18-year-old Donald Cooper Jr., and 18-year-old Sandtel Thomas were arrested for the armed robbery of Meigs grocery last week.

Thomas county sheriff's investigators worked with the Meigs police department doing undercover work over the weekend.  They say good citizens who came forward with evidence were vital to solving the crimes.

Inv. Pascal Autrey of Thomas County Sheriff's Office says, "Anytime you have people involved, people are going to talk. And you will always have good people who will come forward. Some sooner, some later."

This is the second time Meigs grocery has been robbed in the last two months. Investigators think one of these teens was the culprit the first time as well.

Davis and Johnson may also soon be charged with breaking into a Meigs bank.
