Syrupmakers ready for return to the Dome

December 5, 2007

Cairo - After winning ten or more games three times in the last four years, the Cairo High Syrupmakers are finally back in the Georgia Dome for AAA semifinals.

The Syrupmakers' trip to Dome is their first since 2000.

Which was the third straight trip to the semifinals for the Cairo High team.

Current Cairo head coach Tom Fallaw was in his first year as Syrupmaker assistant that year.

This season, Fallaw takes a Cairo team that is averaging just over 33 points a game.

The  coach says the key to the offensive production starts with the man under center.

Tom Fallaw said "The secret to us is our quaterback. Pease is a guy that as he goes we go. He is definitely an added dimension to us. He has probably brought us a little farther than we were last year."

Cairo and North Hall play Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Georgia Dome.

Carver-Columbus and Chamblee play the other AAA semifinal on Friday.
