Albany - It's bikes or bust this week at the Albany Mall. The Marine Corps Logistics Base and Rock 103 need your help to collect brand new bikes for Toys for Tots.
The goal is at least 1000, but hopefully many more. Someone will be on hand to collect the bikes 24 hours a day through Saturday.
HM1 John Gilbreath said, "On Christmas morning, one of the best things to see is a bicycle underneath the tree." Royal Davis said, "There's a lot of less fortunate children who don't have the opportunity to have a brand new bike on Christmas so that's why we do it, for the kids."
A new partnership with Regions Bank could lead to the most bikes ever collected by Toys for Tots. Each time a new account is opened, regions will donate to the bike fund for kids in our area.
