Tift County -- One woman is dead after a car accident involving a tractor trailer in Tift County.

The accident happened just before 7:00 PM Friday evening on Georgia Highway 35.

A car and a tractor trailer collided heading South on that highway just three miles South of Tifton.

The impact caused that car to swerve counter-clockwise into the Northbound lane.

That is when 35-year-old Lacey Michelle James hit the vehicle.

The accident has been turned over to the Georgia State Patrol Specialized Crash Reconstruction team to investigate.
