Albany - You can make Christmas wishes come true for victims of domestic violence who are spending their holidays in shelters. Liberty House, a shelter for battered women and children is asking for volunteers to adopt-a-family.

About 30 families are currently being served by the facility.  Executive Director Silke Deeley said, "They generally come with the clothes on their backs and I think the holidays are the hardest times for families when moms and their children are here and not with family for obvious reasons, we try and normalize their lives as best we can."

To adopt a family call the Liberty House at 439-7094.
