Albany - - Men and women in blue will keep kids in Albany from having a blue Christmas.
Wednesday, Toys for Tots kicked off a partnership with the Albany Police Department.
Officers pledged to collect toys for children in need.
It's the first time APD has worked with Toys for Tots.
"Toys for Tots and the Marine Corps Reserve Forces program is growing and our partnership with the Salvation Army has lead to the partnership of the Albany Police Department, with other organizations and businesses such as Regents Bank," says PFC John Gilbreath.
This is Toys for Tots 60th year. Many Albany churches and retailers support the effort. WALB is also a partner.
