November 25, 2007

Albany -- An early morning call Saturday may have exposed six Albany Police Officers to a deadly bacteria.

Three officers were called to the 4000 block of Gillionville Road regarding a violent mental person.

A 16-year-old was taken into custody, and then taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial.

Officers say that juvenile was treated for bacterial meningitis. The Health Department hasn't confirmed that yet.

As a precaution the original three officers and three more officers that used the same cop cruiser were all treated for the bacteria.
