Albany -- Blood donations usually decline during the holiday season, but the American Red Cross and Chick-fil-a are doing their part to change that.
The blood mobile made a stop at the Chick-fil-a on Dawson Road Saturday.
Blood donors received a holiday ornament from the Red Cross and a free combo from Chick-fil-a.
Every two seconds someone in America needs blood. So its important to remember to donate even during the hustle of the holidays
"It's very important to do that especially with the holiday season coming up. We have a lot of holiday travelers, and you just never know when you might need that little pint of blood. We are doing this to get ready for the holiday season and taking a proactive approach this year," said Marketing Director, Anna Wari.
Most healthy people over the age of 17 and weigh at least 110 pounds are eligible to donate blood and platelets.
