Albany -- Albany Firefighters say more than one thousand gallons of diesel fuel spilled in Monday's tanker crash at the intersection of Radium Springs Road and Oakridge Drive.

A Fuel South truck hauling a Flash Foods tank of diesel flipped on its side as it turned east onto Oakridge about five thirty yesterday Monday afternoon.

The driver, 33-year old Averette Matthew of Tifton,  is charged with failure to maintain his lane. Police say he was driving too fast when he tried to make the turn.

Matthew was treated at a local hospital and released.
