Albany-- The American Cancer Society once again asked smokers today not to smoke. Its all part of the Cancer Society's 30th Great American Smokeout, that is put on every year to draw awareness to the dangers of both smoking and second hand smoke among Americans. 

"its real important that we realize that over four hundred and thirty eight thousand people die annually because of tobacco use, and that out of that thirty eight thousand die from second hand smoke"said Lisa Barkley with the American Cancer Society.

 Smokers who need assistance to quit their smoking habit are encouraged to contact their local American Cancer Society Chapter.econd hand smoke among Americans.
