Tifton--GBI agents and sheriff's deputies were called to 3128 6th Avenue around midnight.  Right now, they're remaining tight-lipped as to what they're investigating.

Crime scene taped blocked off 6th Avenue completely for several hours.  Neighbors near the scene say they heard several gun shots late last night.

After hearing those shots, one neighbor says she saw several people flee the home of that crime scene in a white, Jeep Cherokee.

People living in the small, neighborhood say their community isn't known for crime.

"This is a good neighborhood to live in. We've been living here five years. No problems. nothing like this has ever happened, but things do happen.  Reporter: What do you know about the location over there?  That used to be a place where things went on at, but they came and closed it down. What happened beyond there is a mystery," says Sammy Washington, a nearby resident.
