Albany - - One School Board member's request to clean house on the board's Finance Committee was denied Tuesday.
David Maschke claimed the committee doesn't do a good job of reviewing finance matters or reporting back to the full board.
Board chairman Michael Windom directed the committee to have regular meetings and report back to the full board, but he said there's no reason to replace the committee members.
"I'm glad that the chairman has directed the finance committee to actually do something and become more active. I'm very disappointed in the fact that he reappointed the same people and the same leadership," Maschke said.
Windom says he's confident the finance committee will follow the new guidelines.
