Albany - - This holiday season, you can help families in need by participating in an annual canned-food drive.

K-Country Radio is sponsoring its 10th annual Can Do Can Drive. It starts Wednesday at the Harvey's Supermarket on North Slappey.

You can stop by anytime from 7 am until 7 pm through Friday. Your donations will go to the food bank of Southwest Georgia.

Organizers hope your donations will set a record.

"Four or five years ago, we had the highest total ever collected in one day as a matter of fact we sent the info to the Guinness Book of world records. It was 72, 000 cans in one day," says John Baldwin of K-Country.

The Southwest Georgia Food Bank serves more than 300 non-profit organizations in 20 counties.
