Tifton -- Tift County is in the state playoffs for a third straight season, and they'll go on the road to face Camden County in the opening round Friday night.
The Blue Devils finished 3-3 in the region, after taking home the region championship and advancing to the Georgia Dome last year.
Tift County has had some injuries at key position throughout the season, but are getting healthy at the right time.
The team earned the fourth seed in the always tough Region 1-AAAAA, and head coach Jay Walls says the challenging competition will help, but Camden County doesn't have a weakness.
"I think our region play will help us in the playoffs," says Walls, "but Camden could compete in our region. They're certainly a very good team, but we hope our region play will help us in the playoffs."
Tift County plays at Camden County Friday night at 7:30 pm.
