Albany man arrested in child porn investigation

Albany --   Police raid a Northwest Albany home, in a child porn investigation. Search warrants were executed at the house at 2710 Whispering Pines Road.

The man who lives there, 41-year-old James Hurd was brought out in handcuffs. Police also brought out computers and bags of evidence.

Dougherty County Police Chief Don Cheek said Investigators had been working on this child pornography case with another law enforcement agency in Georgia.

"There is an ongoing investigation and it deals with computer and Internet activity. Right now we have not been able to analyze any of the material that has been taken," Cheek said.

Hurd's wife was home during the raid, but she was not arrested.
