Sasser, GA -- Etta Butler Edwards of Terrell County died Saturday, November 10, 2007 at her home.

Her funeral service will be held Monday, November 12, 2007 at Central Baptist Church with interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson, GA. The Rev. Dr. Andy Goode will officiate.

She was the daughter of Albert A and Estelle Butler of Baker County and had lived in Quincy, FL before moving to Sasser where she had lived for the past 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Eugene Edwards, and had worked with her family at the Carl Edwards and Sons Stables until her retirement.

She was a very active member of Central Baptist Church and was honored for her sixty years as a Sunday School teacher by them naming the class after her.

Survivors include three sons, C. Wayne Edwards and wife Betty of Tallahassee, Fl, Larry E. Edwards and wife Florence, Gary R. Edwards and wife Paige, all of Dawson, a daughter, Delores E. Downs and husband Roy of Sasser, three grandchildren, Kevin Edwards of Tallahassee, Fl,, Gary Downs and wife Kim of Orange Beach, AL, Chris Edwards and wife Kim of Atlanta, two great-grandchildren, Gage Downs and Colin Edward and two nieces.
